Aeroclub of Hamat
Hamat Airport is a nonfunctioning airport located in the north of Lebanon. My proposition was to transform this abandoned airport into an Aeroclub where people get to learn aircraft navigation as a hobby or profession.
A strong horizontal axe was imposed in this project due the duality of the landscape, one on the aerodrome and the second on the sea . At the same time, this axe happened to be adjacent with the dominant wind direction.
This wind had the main presence in this project that stretched and shaped the form of the Aeroclub. As a result, an aerodynamic shape was created formed by the mixture of the masculine architecture presented by the big structure indicating the speed and sharpness of the wind and the feminine architecture presented by the curves indicating the flexibility of the wind.
